froggy... dude...
... try exporting the file as an .swf out of illy... then importing the .swf.
make sure you export it w/all the raster files as 'lossless', bump the curves to 10 (the best) and maintain editability where you can...
... hope that all made sense.
The only thing you'll have to adjust is the type if you keep it as type (which I would just redo the type in flash)...
... but seriously, it's rather impressive how well it all stays together, dude.
All you have to do is just separate the objects once you get it into flash...
... is any of this making sense?
Also... place your photoshop docs directly into illy and THEN export the illy file as an swf... I'M SERIOUS... EVERYTHING IMPORTS GORGEOUS...exactly as the psd looked... including... YES... INCLUDING the alpha channels AND even most of the look and feel of the layer blending mode...
... blah blah blah... you're probably not even reading this anyway...
*yawwwn...
here kitty...

ABM,
i had some weird radial line object, over a gradient, and it just freaked out. i ended up exporting it out as seperate objects.
i usually build my stuff in PS, and the crop and export things out in fireworks, so it will maintain my alpha transparancies when i kick them out as .png files.

ah yes... the gradient... that's the only thing I usually rebuild (or stay farrrrr away from) in flash... I find that copying the gradient from illus. into PS... then exporting it as a .png and then importing to flash usually gets me through that issue (but of course kills scaleability)...
.. blah.. gradients... tough in flash.

t|g:
it was just for fun, baby, no hard feelings.
my wife wants me to get 2 cats... NOW! i promised her a duo a while back, and she's not letting me forget.
as long as at least one is black, i will be super happy. animals make a house a home... and they are fun to watch.

her name is Carmela and she is 100% black.
She's 9 months old.
She sleeps along side of me... or on top of me depending on how cold she is...
... she's the most affectionate little bundle of unconditional love I've ever encountered.
She's got a special bed behind my computer where I work. She hangs there when I'm working... and usually crashes out on the bed or in my lap the rest of the time.
I can't really tell you how amazing... and how much more 'full' you feel when you have a little pet to come home to and take care. If you have kids, live w/someone or are married... I guess it's a whole diff. ballgame...
... but my cat's changed how I do things. It's a pretty cool situation.

That's why we gotta get 2, because the wife and i will fight over 1, we will both want to hold and play with him/her. Thus the duo.
I miss my cat back in FLA. My parent's staked claim on him.
