I am sure you've seen a lot of sites with a loading bar and percentage loaded numbers next to it. I noticed that many of them are selectable. What's the point of it? Do you think I will copy the numbers and use it somewhere else? Or is it made on purpose to keep yourself busy by selecting and unselecting while the site's loading?

Ya, I don't think it's done on purpose, just happens to end up selectable. It's not like anyone REALLY cares, right?

I do think that selectable / not selectable text is something too often overlooked in Flash. I find the other way round much more frustrating though.
How often do you wish you could select text only to find you cant... best example is where you cannot select but clicking it doesn't launch your email client either.....

It's made selectable so you can cut and paste the various percentages into a excel spreadsheet and then graph the loading rate.
