I play the drums, I love the drums. Anymore drummers on this site?
And IF so..
I am looking for the deepest sounding bass head possible, for a 20 inch bass drum.

I can keep a beat. But, generally, I record something basic, take some old style jazz or congo beat and then mix them together and resequence in a 16-stepper. The tweak the sh*t out of and resequence again and mix.

What do you have for heads on your bass drum and how deep/loud and happy are you with the sound?

hey jason,
its just the stock yamaha head for the bass drum, the sound is really nice, i threw a nice down pillow in there, and tightend the heads up nice... the kick sounds really nice... its a nice deep thud/thump kinda sound, but not as loud as I would like sometimes...
i play like, once every other day for an hour or so with some buddies... i guess we kinda just jam together..
its not really a band..
the maple, and the size gives it a nice organic sound..

I'm a hand drummer... got 3 djembes, a conga, bongos, and 2 japanese drums. Mostly I play the djembes, but I love having a bunch of drums for impromptu jam sessions.

i could listen to 'prima di andare' all freakin' day. awesome.tny:
you're new drummer is a person or a drum machine? it has enough of that synthetic feel to have me scratching my head. great songs and great mix, too.
- tny0
thanks, it's mostly kit, with a sequence and/or drum mach. here and there.
i like your multitracked vocals, sounds sort of alice in chains-y.

i am a drummer, i use an orange county set, yeeeeah. if you have a 20, go for a pinstripe remo, definately give you the deepest sound. it also depends on how long your kick is. mine is super long(like 26 in). check out http://www.evolution-media.com/t… to see pics of the kit and my band the trademark playing like dorks, yeah!

oops i meant http://www.evolution-media.com/t… sorry
