It's probably been broadcasted before, but i'm broadcasting it again!
There's a lot of debate whether the Mac is better than the PC and vice versa. I prefer the PC the myself.
Anyone who say's you need a Mac to be creative are talking through a hole in their arse.
Let the people be creative, not the computer.

let's see if i can make sense of this. hardware is hardware is hardware. it doesn't matter if the box it comes in is ugly beige or has a nice apple logo on it's side.
point 1:
what matters is the os and software. apple has the advantage of knowing before hand exactly what kind of hardware their users will have, or at least a good idea. microsoft has to write their software for the lowest common denominator. the same with windows developers.point 2:
are you familiar with winamp, winzip or the millions of other many of these apps are well built, but many aren't. some lazy programmers don't clean up instantiated objects which leads to memory leaks and unstable programs. unstable programs leads to an unstable and/or slow os. before you know it, you're running a slow system with tons of free/shareware.now think how many more freeware and shareware apps there are on pc as opposed to mac. are you starting to get the picture?
as far as preference between os is concerned, it just comes down to what you are more comfortable with and also whether you have the finances to pay for apples pricey hardware.

the topic's been beaten to death, no doubt, but some people are still genuinely curious as to which is better - or at least i'm naive enough to think so. probably the latter. but who needs self-deprecation when we've got this bunch?

Mac users are like the bible huggers, religiously fanatic.

When I switched from a PC to a Mac 3 years ago, everyone noted that I had stopped swearing constantly at the computer.
I think that says a lot
