i took this from the "massive change" thread to not derail that one, read this:

it's basically a site that will save your 'REAL' designs ( a screenshot ) and the one who the client wanted it..
should make for some hilarious sights, and we can also educate people, like clients.. if they will EVER listen that is.
so who's down?

as i said in the other thread...
count me in!
just lemme know what you need help with. i can definitely add some gems to collection but i would love to be involved in the process of putting this together as well.

there isn't a monitor big enough for my clients' logos.

i had a client i was doing a billboard for - it was a car dealership... so i made the car about 2/3 of the board, on the right and the logo on the left, the other 1/3rd. well the client continued complaining that his logo wasnt big enough, so as a joke i deleted the car and made his logo the entire width of the billboard.
can you guess what happened next? i sent it to him and the first words out of his mouth was "PERFECT - I LOVE IT!!!"
hahahha

lol 2¢
i just had did a brochure. this brochure is more like cramming a tolstoy novel on a business card...
just before it went to blueline - the client asked me to increase all the text by 2-4 pts. and change it to a san-serif face.

hahaha... oh man.

Im in,
but i will have to chose carefully as i have a few clients who are multi billion dollar companys that might sue my ass.
I have some corkers though

Im in...oh boy am I in....

count the kat in.
I may not have too many examples of "makin' it swoosh", but I can be helpful in the process of putting it together..

sounds really cool. but it's too tricky for me. don't want clients harrassing me for this. don't think they want to be positioned as fools online.
- DutchBoy0
aaargh some of you kids sound like corporate slaves already.
what if we password protect the site? hmm.... bad idea..
it is just your own responsibility if you submit or not..
- rabattski0
"aaargh some of you kids sound like corporate slaves already."
well in a way yes since the world is based on money so i need to make money to pay the rent and be able to buy food.
can't risk it. can't lose a client. and hey, worst case scenario, some other designer can use it to get that client and slagging me of in the meantime.
it's a hard knock world.
- rabattski0
what they call it, "don't bite the hand that feeds you"?
- DutchBoy0
yea yea yea... i hear ya.
bah.
now you rained on my parade.. :(
damn clients win again!!
- rabattski0
dude. there are plenty of others. and it's a good idea. i would def. check such a site out. you can also learn from it you know. since sometimes translating clients words / thoughts can be hard. and i assume it's not gonna be "the designer is always right" site.
anyways, if i happen to have stuff of which i think is useable (ex-clients, low profile stuff such as bands etc.) than i'm def. gonna post it.

Do it, Do IT! DO IT!!
Clients are clueless anyways, I'm not saying that no one is going to find out about it, but the chances are slim. And if they do? So what, you're posting at your own risk. Just keep it in mind.
What are we a bunch of mice, or are we MEN/WOMEN!
- slappy0
actually some of my old clients can go piss up a tree, its pay back time be-atch and i still own the copy right.
and the rest will have the text replaced with lorem ipsum and logos removed.
