no way! me too. first game GTA3. actually the #1 reason i bought a PS2 to start with. hold on, wait a minute. i actually didn't buy it, my gf bought it for me. very sneaky actually, let that never happen, it gives her a certain veto as in you have to turn it off when she's annoyed, you know the "i bought it"-veto.

How have the graphics and control been on the PS2 version? Is their a lot of slowdown? Last time I just waited for Vice City to be released on PC. The graphics are obviously much better on the PC, and it's much easier to play a 1st/3rd person game with a keyboard and mouse. What is everyones opinion, wait till next summer for PC or get the PS2 version now?

depends how addicted you are / how hardcore of a GTA fan you are. if you think playability and gfx is a lot more important than wait for the pc or xbox version.

What's your opinion though? Are the graphics supposed to be improved over Vice City? Are the controls pretty good on PS2? Is there a lot of slowdown when many characters are on the screen? I've never played any of the GTA games on the PS2 so that's why I'm asking.

now you can't really compare a ps2 controller with a keyboard / mouse combo. although i'm so used to a ps2 controller that imo it doesn't really matter.
there's no slowdown.
and graphically, i'll be honest, i'm a 200% ps2 fan, is a xbox better. pc wise prolly also, depends on the video card. but i don't want to sit behind a pc to play games, i want to lay on my couch and hang out in the front of my tv.
so if you could wait 5 months for san andreas and you think gfx is more important *and* you want to sell your soul to microsoft i would suggest an xbox.
