First off... I'm not trying to rip any copyrighted material...

That said... I'm taking a video that my friend burned to a DVD and fixing the sound... I was hoping to strip off the sound and adjust it... then rip the video from the .vob files down to DV... then I would join them and re-encode in Final Cut...
There are 3 useable .vob files in total... totalling just over an hour.

Seems that when I rip the .vob files to DV i lose a few frames on the ends of the files.... so when i join them there ends up being two slight gaps in the video...

how can i rip the .vob files without losing any frames?

it could be that you don't have fast enough HDD... maybe your hardware isn't up to it, is it?
