Jevad, I got a great deal because I dealt directly wiht the supplier. I payed 2000$CAN (no tax) for the body and the kit 18-55 lens.

k.. When to pick up my 20D to find out that they ordered me the Nikon D70.. So.. now I have a D70 and 500$ more in my pocket. But, no 20D..

I also ordered the d70... I thought long and hard and decided i would rather have the extra 500 bucks and the 20d is next to impossible to find.... I thought it was odd that the body for canon was 1499 and the body with lense was 1599.. 100 dollar lense? I am very happy with d70... nikon capture software is also very cool.. capture straight to your harddrive.. download curves to your camera.. do time lapse ...

i cant stand 8MP images printed out large. They just have that "digital look" that i cant stand..

for me, it depends on the size..
like, 8x10... maybe... 11x17.. no way...
id rather see a nice 35mm print at 11x17 with some grain than an 11x17 digital with digital looking grain and blue glowing around objects...yuk...
4x6 is not a problem with 8MP neither is 5x7
8x10 is borderline for me...

derek, The reason you cant make good print is because you been using a low-end point and shoot camera.
a 3MP digital SLR make better prints than a 8MP consumer point and shoot. Keep that in mind. dont be a victim of the megapixel myth.
