could anybody help me out with some good transition effects that would be effective in keeping the comp. together and keep the viewer following along? thanks guys.

we're talking after effects
create some masks ar moving shapes that wil cover up an entire comp(just solids will do)use as an aplpa mask over the layers that must be 'transisioned'.
keep away from those plugin pre-sets!

i rediscovered the smear effect transition, just stretch an image horizontally by drawing two overlapping rectangular mask andd animate the smear percent from 0 to 100.
