I love my beard.

These are my personal beard rules.
A beard is about not giving a shit and letting your "man" hang out. So therefore if you trim the hedges or sculpt your beard in any way you care way too much about it and don't deserve to have one because it only makes you look like craig david. You have to play it where it lies. I don't care if you ain't got no connectors, you wear it with pride and your man shit will catch up. If you've got beard on your cheekbones, tough shit, you've gotta grow it, no shaving it. Absolutely no fucking goatees, soul patches, or severely oversized chops. A handlebar moustache is acceptable if only because it makes you look like a 70's porn star and an ugly one at that. If you find a lady who likes a handlebar then she's a keeper but most think it's gross so having one is statement. It's for fun. Not for serious like goatees or soul patches.
Beards are not about the ladies. Actually 90% of women hate beards of any type. It's about the men and being a man. Not some sort've metrosexual half-man who trims his beard to make his jawline sharper. You're either with us or against us.

well said. I believe every man has a beard phase at some stage in his life. I havent hit mine yet at 31. Im looking forward to letting 'my man' hang out

Initially my own personal beard growth was pretty much as normal has addressed it there.
but if you need a have a beard to feel like a man....
