clean is good, i agree. maybe try changing the perspective? give it some dimensional tilt, unless you are not buying into the "appearance of the word appear" concept.
i like the type treatment, it is different than a lot of what's out there. a lot of people are reluctant to play around with serif type. keep pushin.

ahh, john you keep suggesting changes that use filters and such, and those will only cheapen the logo. using a filter on a logo that isnt right isnt going to fix it.
i like this logo, but i would make a few changes.
see at the top of the A where the line bubbles out, you need to make that straight, the whole font is very clean cut and that bubbling out doesnt suit it, similarly, the r where you added to it isnt smooth it looks like it peaks, and it really should just flow.
would you be able to tighten the kerning a tad, and/or scale it down a bit so we can see what it looks like at a different size?

i know i suggested a lot of filter ideas, but i was trying to help drive a concept. nice looking logos are great, but if it looks good and people can glance at it, recognize the concept, they get a feeling of satifaction of having accomplished something and it sticks in their head. think how happy you were the first time you noticed the arrow in the fedex logo. beauty and brains.

I dont get the "A" comment? The top is like the rest of the font...
Agree with the "r" needs a little work...

sorry, not the top, its more towards the middle, on the left side as it goes down towards where you added to it, it swoops out and back in, it looks like it should be straight

I think it is no good. I don't like that elegant-ish look out it is giving me no clue about nothing, besides it needs to be improved technically, can you tell the concept behind it ? I dunno, I am thinking it must be simpler and should take direct attention. Thisdon't give me this feeling.
keep it playin with it, with more variants.
