Now we are getting closer. It is right, the thing with grids is not to start puting lines around your page to align text and images. Grids have their own ¨rules¨. If you have worked in print, you know to leave more space at the bottom than at the top, how much on the sides of the page, what lenght it is the good one for the bodycopy to run acording to the total size of the page and so on.
So far it has been applied to print, but I am sure you can acomodate some of this rules to the web too. I do.
Any books about this?

your children's children will have no head coz you don't use yours anymore.
did you know that the australopitecus developed the brain diff from other species because he was able to do manual operations? so if you let computers do everything for you you're starting a critter downfall!

Brockmann's grids were used as his basis for building, not only structure, but ideas and meaning as well. It was his unique process for arriving at exellence, and not many designers have pushed the grid in that manner since. You can't create plugins for ideas.
