Yo,
i was just wondering, why do people show so much about their lifes in forums etc.
a question like: what car do you drive, show your girlfriend, where do you live? etc etc.
get a huge # of replies of all people showing their life bit by bit...ok its fun watching those ugly whifes and rusty cars but its easy to learn to more about someone you dont know and abuse that knowledge.

monsterjoe: not only is it anonymous like kappa already said it is also something between thruths and lies. no one knows if it's true or not. no one can verify it. that is about how much you can do with such information. avatar like.
i would know more about you if i would whois your domain, look your e-mail address up in usenet or trace your ip.

combine all info, the posts + wois and you have alot of info about someone, and if someone shows alot of things about their self it would be easier to see whats real and whats lied.
for example show your girlfriend shows a pic of a girl and in an other post he posted a pic of his car and whos there in the background?
ok pshop... but the chance that it isnt pshop work are huge...

well what db and stewart show you is how you should intepret it. you *never* know if it's true or not. you asume it's true. people act differently on the interweb since it's anonymous, you can slide into a different personality and act differently than irl.

if you dont have any enemy, or people that hate you their is no big problem.but what about people who get obsessed with you?!?!
they might find out where you live, what your family looks like and your car... they could pay you a visit and key your car, drop shit at your home, stalk you, or do something to people close to you.if all people in this world are behaved this kind of things wouldnt happen. but it isnt...
