What are your pricing terms for purchasing photos, using them in your design and then billing the client?
Do you mark up the price? How do you bill when using photos from a place like iStock where photos are less than $1.00?

I would mark it up. You're taking the time to find it, you've got the resource, etc. Same for print I always throw in about 10 percent on top if I'm handling the job. Actually that's what I miss the most about doing print are the markups and of course the tangibility.

I agree. I always markup 10%.

do you list each item when invoicing?
So let's say you mark-up a $1 photo and mark-up a $100 are your clients going to question your resources?
I guess I'm looking for a better way to word it in our contracts.
