From a Basement On The Hill
Has anyone heard it yet?

there are a few tracks on his mini site on Epitaph.com. It sounds really good, in a kill yourself kinda way.

actually yeah.
I can't really get a handle on it yet. it feels really weird to hear it.
the cover sucks though. his other covers were cool. makes me wonder about the production.

Actually I'm listening to it right now.... for about the 3rd time. Trying to get my head wrapped around it.
"this is not my life, it's just a fond farewell to a friend"....
A friend indeed, I cannot fault Elliot Smith, he was a great songwriter, almost as good as Mark Kozelek. But those two do it for me and that genre of sad bastard music.

by far his best work. I'm only on song 7 so i still have the other half of the album to listen too to fully rate it. So far it's incredible.
I caved in and downloaded it from other "sources". I know i could have gone to iTMS but i want the CD, art and hopefully lyrics. My CD shop should have it next Tuesday.
