Which job?

I have a dilemma.
I have been recieved two job offers after working on a large project for a car company. One from the car company (working in their design studio near LA), and one from the car company's Ad firm (working as an art director).
The problem is that the job with the car company is somewhat unfamiliar territory for me... but something I have dreamed of doing for a while. The art direction job is on the east coast (where I'm from and most comfortable) and will pay slightly better than the LA job.
Should I take the chance pursing a dream with the slightly less-money, unfamiliar medium, and unsure LA atmosphere... or just go for the art direction job?
