I'll be in Seattle for 3 days with my wife and 2yr old son. What should we see, where should we go?
We like art, outdoors, fun kid stuff, shopping, etc. High quality art galleries are of particular interest. We'll have a car. Any thoughts?

Beer tour at Pyramid brewery, then wine tasting a vineyard down the street from there... does you 2 yr. old have a fake ID yet? If not, go to the Seattle Art Museum. Call me crazy, but I was blown away by the NW Native American exhibit. The totem poles and ceremonial costumes were amazing.

Thanks for the input so far. Any more?
I'd like to stay somewhere within walking distance to good shops and stuff, maybe a park. Any ideas?

Staying anywhere near the Westlake area you should be okay. It'd be nice if our monorail's were running to get you to the Needle, but a taxi shouldn't be too expensive. If you're going to walk, stay on fourth ave.
1st 2nd and 3rd ave are nice as long as you're North of Blanchard.
If you head north a little from Seattle you can get to Fremont and see the troll and if you go on Sunday they have a great outdoor market.

Definitely check out the new library, it's very cool. Pike Place Market is always a good choice too. Gasworks park is a cool park, with some interesting stuff and a great view. The Science Center would be pretty cool for the kid, it has a bunch of hands-on type of stuff that kids love.

Freemont is nice.. Check out the ol Gasworks Park while you're there. An old gas co. with huge gas piping where they redid it and you can see all of the lake from there, etc.
Noone has said Seattle Art Museum yet downtown which is great, close to the library.
