App request:
Is there an app / plugin or something for OSX that allows you to collapse/expand open windows by clicking the title? You know, like you could in OS 9?
I loved that.

another App request:
Is there an app / plugin or something for OSX that allows you to change the width of the columns of a finder window?
please? it's driving me crazy.
well, if it doesn't exist the only thing i can do is reduce the length of my document names to 3 characters.

Stewart, you can do that! In every column at the bottom, there's a little symbol that looks like II
(two vertical lines)
Hold and drag!
- stewart0
thanks jox, but that value isn't stored in the OSX memory.
the columns are just too small for me.
- ribit0
I want that too...
- pascii0
yeah, and the possibility to sort by label etc. in columns!
- stewart0
yeah!

hey stewart...
it can be stored.
open a new window, and before you do anything (ie: open folders, sort, move things) -- adjust the columns to the size you like, then close the window.
your column width values will now be stored!!
this drove me crazy for awhile before i figured out you have to set it like that in order for it stick.

oops... forgot to mention you need to hold down the option key while adjusting the size of the column for it to be stored.
also, double clicking on the " II " while holding the command key will automatically adjust your columns to fit the longes file name in that column.

Geith, you have saved my life. Please accept this star "*" as a reminder that I owe you one.

Oh and while we're on the subject, I have another request.
Does anybody know if I can get ahold of a plugin that allows me to press command and click/drag with the mouse to scroll on websites?
I had that back in the 9 days as well, but I can't get it to work on X. That actually keeps me from buying an Apple Pro mouse. I want one... but if I have to use scrollbars, I would slowly begin to plan ways to kill myself after a while.

Bump!

why not get a "normal" pc 3-button mouse?
teh logitech works perfect for me.
- ribit0
Why not get a scroll-wheel/two-button mouse?
I'm using a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical and loving it, but wondering why Apple doesnt move into this area... as an add-on product for 'Pro' users...

jox, seriously:

Yeah I have a MX900 already, but I *want* the BT Apple one instead.
