just installed the service, and every 15 minutes an alert pops to ask me if i want to stay connected.
do any of you guys who use Verizon DSL any way to turn it off?

os x? did you confgure with the cd or did you just type the info in the sys preferences>network?

you probably used the verizon disk they gave you. throw it away.
i did, and never had that problem.

the CD. can you bypass all that "internet connect" bullshit?

system prerfences > network > built in ethernet > ppoe > click the connect using ppoe box, enter your username and password, check the show status in menu bar. you can now riht click on the icon in the menu bar to connect or disconnect.

use a router, it'll automatically stay connected ...and you probably have more than one computer that you'd be using anyways.
