I'm surprised that you can fuck up a site as simple as that.
some points:
do it in html
no hair background
use a better font in colors other than cmy
add some more detail, something simplethere are plenty of well done one-page sites out there, take a loot

The flash one pager is an... um... interesting twist although you may have to convince me (and others) of its benefits. Maybe a Novel(ty).
The colors: not feeliing it yet, too trendy(80s)
skin? please shave if you're going to scan your face. nasty shit. conceptally too literal unless your using super model skin :) we like nice female super model skin

http://www.robfindlay.net - html, one page (pretty much), no flash - flash will become the evil of the internet in time - tell me one website that absolutely has to be in flash?

flash isn't evil, it just needs to be properly applied. in this case the main problems are huge gaps between work, fonts that appear like they're squished, poor colour scheme, and to top it off the navigation of sections is hard to find.
aside from that, one suggestion would be to actually link the flash animations, rather than or as well as the little slide shows, because the slide shows don't demostrate any skills to potential clients, other than screenshot abilities.

The font needs changing (possibly) it dosnt agree with my stomach...
Also, im wondering if you took those pictures with a camera or whether they're screenshots.A pretty good selection of work all round tho... ;)

There's some very impressive work in your folio.
I like the fact you've tried to do something a bit different with your interface.
There are fundamental design flaws, the sub title font doesn't work, the background detracts from and clashes with your work - but overall what comes through is that you're trying to implement a concept. That's attractive to me as an employer because it suggest you have the skill of thinking about ideas and concepts which is what overall I look for in web designers.
As an employer of web designers I like to see portfolio sites that try do something a bit different - it's probably going to be the only place you'll be able to do it as in the commercial world you'll be doing shall we say more run of the mill work. There are some erros but a small amount of training will cure those.
Take away the constructive criticisms here and you will have learnt some basic but cruicial design rules. Tidy the site up and I think you'll have something good.

I like the concept, you have some nice work there. Just the size of the details for my eyes is too small. But its a nice folio there.
btw: I like the shave background and the cmy colors
