looking for tips for sending promotional emails to our customers that are subscribed. i was sending html formated emails linking to images online etc, but i wondering if i should do text only? spam filters are flagging the emails as spam.

    what do you do?

We use Topica at the moment to send multiformat HTML/text newsletters to 14000 subscribers. I think the spam-flagging would be based more on the sending domain, not the content?

We were going to use PHPList running on our own server, but still not sure if it's the best choice, and it takes a while to configure, plus Topica does some nice stuff like tracking every link clicked and generating reports of clicks to content, who clicked, forwards etc...
