They were all really friendly when I went in there.
Also the Apple store in SoHo is cool from an interior design pov as well as being fun, and selling coffee.

If you want a delectable lunch, go to either Palacinka in Soho (north side of Grand St, near 6th ave--atmo deluxe) or City Bakery, 18th St. near 5th ave (yum). Have fun!

Moss is a great store. I've always liked the way they've handled the store displays and branding. Pretty slick.
If you're into just checking out design objects, go to the Conran Shop. It's more of a department store, but they usually have some great stuff.
