Do you know the average price to redesign a logo, followed by business cards, envelopes etc....
Here are more details about his logo I have to design as I got lots of feed back yesterday.
Its a big technology company, developed in 1993, with several affices in the US. They have four companies within one that all use the same identity and therefore they want to change the mother companies logo to differentiate it from the others. They develope infrastructure, offer technology and development for the companies.
I have to take care of there brand identity relooking.

I would say at the absolute minimum for a company that size, 20k. That is just for the identity development with a buyout of another 3-4k. You have absolutely got to do your homework with a project of this caliber. Make sure that you know the reasonings behind your new branding inside and out, know the marketplace that it's going to aimed towards and be able to back up any design that you come up with. Beyond that it will be another 2-5k for the collateral. You might want to build in an identity guideline system for added value as well in addition to keeping your and their newborn baby hopefully intact as departments start using it for their own communication it's also a useful exercise in making sure that it works completely throughout every medium.
Break it down by costs:
Identity development x$
Identity buyout x$
Collateral x$There are several sites out there dedicated towards identity design and standards there are threads available on the PVN in relation to this.
