currently in London: gregor schneider has two nextdoor houses acting as art, people are allowed in one at a time, identical twins are split between each house, some doing everyday tasks, oh.. and a man wanking in the shower; of course.
sounds great, I want to see, unfortunately entry is by application only, I believe there is an article on the gUardian site but I cant be fucked to look... the guy is mad.. but in a good way

hehe.. I took a five years of fine arts and still don't get it alright..
well at least some of the artists that act like "thinkers" not artist..
(to cut a long short story...)
to be a good artist nowadays you don't have to draw like a master.. you just have to think on a good concept and make it physical / viewable to the public.
it's kinda boring to discuss it. just buy a book or an encyclopedia and try to understand the general idea.. after that you are prepared to appreciate some "weird artists"
my favourite is .. joseph beuys or whatever is name is spelled...

It was a 70s art movement...check Joseph Kosuth, Daniel Buren, John Baldessari, Ed Ruscha, On Kawara and maybe even Yoko Ono and Joseph Beuys. The best place to learn about it is through those boring art theory books with no pictures.

it's not very good. it belongs to those wannabees who think art is some kind of philosophy. IT IS NOT. you have philosophy for philosophics. art is material harmony and nothing more.

PostModernStuff --
In conceptual art, the philosophy of the work is implicit in the work and is not an illustration of any system of philosophy.. i think you're off a bit
