true point5. when i bartended in college, i got stiffed all the time. i worked at a country club and the members would run tabs and bolt. so i would charge their ticket to their acct but would never get tipped.
so their drinks got watered down. and when people would tip me, i was so stoked i comp them drinks.
oh and my waitresses would do coke in the back and werent fair about sharing the tips either
ah hahaha

Honestly, $1 per drink is a great tip to me. I personally tip $2/drink right off the bat when the night begins, then depending on the service, it can go down or up from there. So I think a $10 tip is fantastic!... Last night I had a guy give $6 for a $5,50 drink. I gave him his receipt and $0.50 change. He turned away and then eventually roamed off to the dance floor. Then 15 min's later he came back and was hanging out by my bar in the same spot and scooped up that 50 cents! I just laughed...

tip retrieval is an art. they think they are sneaky and getting over, but in reality its so pathetic it is worth watching it go down!

I work for Meridias Capital (http://www.meridiascapital.com) , a mortgage company, during the day. No, I don't do loans. I'm basically the in-house designer beeyatch. I love this job though. I'm the only guy in my dept. so about 90% of what I say or want to do goes! At night, I'm the on-call bartender at Bikini's (http://www.bikinisdanceclub.com... over at the Rio.

ha that kinda reminds me...my first job was scooping ice cream for a friendly's in maryland, the short order cook there used to do lines of coke off the grill before he turned it on on a saturday morning....that job opened my eyes to a lot of things.
