keyboard help (mac)

hey peoples..
my numeric pad on my pro-keyboard seem to not work! i have tried num-lock and keyboard prefs to no availe. all teh others work such as the +*/-+= eject volume, but the numbers dont!
they will work if i hold down either shift, command, or alt! so they arent broken just on an odd setting which i cant find!!! anyone know how to fix!

never encountered this one either.
u might need to reinstall the OS as a last resort.

on osx is it? I think I had this once in os9 and just trashed the keyboard prefs to restore it, maybe in osx clearing your cache's might work?

maybe you have some of the Accessibility options set to use the numeric keypad for other functions?

sounds like you have "sticky keys" turned on, g
to fix, go to
system prefs - universal access - keyboard, and uncheck sticky keys
sticky keys can be turned on by accident if you press the shift key five times in a row

you might also try turning off "sticky mouse" in the same accessibilities panel
