Large Scale>Photoshop

  I have very minimal experience with print. . Does anyone have experience working with large scale files for print in Photoshop, say around 40" by 58" ?

  If so, have any tips for working more efficiantly/faster?

  These files take like 5 min to save and I get a progress bar with every little edit I try to make. There has got to be a better way to go about this. . .

  i don't know what computer you're using.
  but if you're going to plot it like

  

  you don't need a 300dpi image for that.

  a150dpi one can be enough.
  you can always ask your printer to make a little A3 test print at 100%.
