I liked the idea so I got the apple in ear headphones. They were actually cheaper than the other ones I looked at.
But they slowly slide out of my ear every 2 or 3 minutes. I mean, do I have small ears? does that mean people will make funny small ear jokes about me?
my ears kinda hurt a little cause i keep having to put them back every few minutes...sad really...
how do i salvage these things?
i want to use them, but how to make them stay? hopefully not by buying more...

you need bigger ears, simple as that.

Avoid glue.
Get a pair of broken, huge earphones. Those that covers your whole ear.
Put in your in-ear-phones, and put the bigger earphones over them.
Two cords, twice the fun. Or not.

'I mean, do I have small ears? does that mean people will make funny small ear jokes about me?'
if you had small ears the earphones would be a snug, tight fit... therefore they wouldn't slide out...
you must have big ears...

you know what they say about people with small ears...?

Try these:

They come with 3x sizes of earpads and sound great, read the reviews.

the sonys do sound great but be very careful not to get the plastic end piece stuck in your ear...if that does happen take extra care not to try to salvage it with a pen and push it in further...I had to have a doctor remove mine, it was very embarassing!

I've got Apple's In-Ear Earphones as well and I think they're great. They're a lot more comfortable than the regular earbuds that come with the iPod. If theyr'e not fitting you right then maybe you need to try a different size for the rubber tips. I've got the large ones on and they fit my ears best, but I do occasionally find them slipping out of my ears when I'm jumping rope.

i may look at the foam things, but the shape of the apple ones don't look like they would accept them...
i thought about it, and i do agree that my ears may be too large...
sniff, sniff...
imah work with em some more and try not to send em back...
if i do send em back, are those sony's the only good ones worth getting, i don't want to end up at the doctor with an ear full of plastic...

Sony MDR-EX71SLB are really nice

I've had the Sony MDR-EX71S (White to match my iPod nicely) for a year now and just last week, one of the earphone stopped working - i think it's the good old "cord don't last syndrome"... :o(
Do be careful the extension dongle adds weight, and the extension is pretty fricken long... best just use the iPod remote with the (much) shorter earphones alone - it's perfect that way (until it broke :o()

Ferrino - I had the same thing happen to me on the underground - someone caught my cable with his arm or hand and pulled the earphone out leaving the rubber pad in my ear, I had to wait till I got to work to extract it.
Best thing is try and re-insert the earphone into the pad and pull out slowly...
