win CPU Q

hey, i have a 1.7gig cpu at the moment in my pc and i wonna go up in the world to lets say a 2.8....would i have to re-install windows if i was just to replace my cpu in my system??? win XP.....

reinstall usually.. it might boot without a reinstall, but you're much much better off with a fresh install

you should move even higher and rebot with a mac running panther

Reinstall windows? No. You usually only have to do that when you change motherboards. If your going to stick w/ the same CPU type (AMD or Intel) then you should be good. Just make sure your motherboard supports the new CPU your going to upgrade to.

iBooks are pretty cheap, and eMacs are really good price.
it will make you a better student, how much would you get for your PC? Minus that off the price and you may have a bargin

it just took me half an hour to wrestle a cd out of my powerbook. after that, this mac almost got thrown against the wall.

or maybe that is just my dream to the pc we have here at work
