I know somebody that was just involved in a lawsuit and I came across the charges for legals.
For QC 1 (Queens Council): $750/hr
For QC2: $8,000 per day
Office Clerk: $160/hr
Legal Partner: $450/hr
Photocopying - $1.50 per page!Now I know these guys go to University and study hard...but these rates are just outrageous. It's a closed shop also, so you really have no choice!

I heard that if you send a lawyer a christmas card they send you a standard bill for how long it took them to open it.

In this case, they were also charged $85 for a 5 minute phone call to a QC to confirm attendance at a meeting.
