James, I put it up 'cus I liked what I had done after rediscovering it and thought after 2 yrs, "Woah, it still looks good..." - why is it everyone always had to rip the shite out of everybody else?

well at this place, it can be brutal, as most design is, by nature IMO. It's pretty good overall. There are too many perfectionist here. :)

my rule with site crit threads is that I NEVER read the post itself or ANY of the responses before I render my opinion.
I just click the link and speak on it... cuz really no one else's opinion should ever threaten to influence mine.
Also I feel strongly that if you need to explain a bunch of stuff before we click the link then your design is a failure.

@ Lilbabyarm again - Yeah, but in this case it's not your newbie kiddie designer who wants loadsa praise and hits on his/her site. The fact that I posted it here was just an opinion on something thats been rediscovered and seeing as it had been rediscovered I wanted to share! I'm not really interested in whether it's good or not - 'cus I like it.

I think you feel bad because by the very nature of you posting this to the world under the guise of a "site crit" you were looking for some form of attention or praise on how "ahead of your time you were" but instead, being that we are all pompous arrogant snobs who are all much farther ahead of our time than anyone else in here, we've destroyed your dreams.

ah so it's more of a 'ah wasn't I great even back then type of thing'... you've put crit in the title of your thread but then when people say what they think of it you say you don't care what they think anyway, because you 'like' it anyway...
you're wasting everyones time... BUT... the bookmark thing is neat... although hidden... so not every1 will get it... surprised that didn't catch on... to actually add value to using a book metaphor in the first place.
