Olden but Golden.
Given it a bit of a spring clean.
Next step is a transition to CSS layout.
Not keen on the red but hey - the client is always right apparently...esp when they're the ones writing out the cheque...

looks nice, works well. the drop shadow on the titles looks a bit out of place mind.
- jevad0
I think you're right there sonny

thanks dad

I concur.
the red title.
not a fan of the pop up, you have plenty of space for those images on the page.
the thumbs thick white borders are a bit much - out of place.
spread it a little more horz. or center it - you should see it on a 1600 wide screen. like 2/3rds of the browser window is empty.
these are small things - overall really nice.

cheers both - shadow will go...as will border....
never liked the pop ups but the client loves them like the son he never had...it will be a battle
- swollenelbow0
you might want to go back to the drawing board on that nic =)
- jevad0
oh yeah, ya think?

the shadows don't bother me at all, maybe because I am on a pc. different brightness.
I like the site overall, very clean. I am just not sure about the header images' transition on top of the page. They are distracting me self to concentrate on the text. One suggestion maybe, just not rolling back the mask as the return transition but jus tputting th e next image, as a continuous sequence.
and onemore thing the titles on the right are a little bit jaggy. very little. FYI.

i like it - nice
my only gripe is that the popup images seem to all open in there own window - -it would be nice imho if they closed on blur or went to same window
- kld0
all nighters anyone?
- swollenelbow0
yeah definately... =P
it looks nice, i like it, but petski says the pops should go and i agree, i love to see those windows resize as much as the next guy, but after clicking through, i have like 15 windows open and my machine starts crying...

Very good.
Nielsen would probably comment on the decision to put the main menu on the right side.
But luckily he is not recieving your paycheck.
And for me, I don't see the big fuzz about of the shadows. Decoration, maybe, but they fit in there. If taking them out would take longer then a minute I wouldn't bother.
But then again I don't wear the striped turtleneck and carry pencil & brushes in my pocket.

"but after clicking through, i have like 15 windows open"
so like...what's stopping you from closing the first window when you are done looking? too hard?

Nice site. I agree to drop the shadow on the names, especially since it isn't appearing elsewhere.
Also, on a large screen it looks a little funny having all the content jammed on the left, especially since the loading page is centered. I would suggest centering the content, but thats just my opinion.
Good work

Oh, and this how to spell: jewelry
not Jewellery
word. :-']

cheers ali...think I will change all the header text to the white serif I use for the drop down headers...that red is starting to irk me....

Shadow doesn't bother me too much, maybe drop back the opacity a bit. I agree on the borders. Just a little strong for my taste.
But nice design man. I like!
Would be cool (but prolly beyond the scope...) to do the navigation on the right in Flash to give it a nicer touch. Drop downs are always so clunky (but economical)
ok. nuf of my nonsense. nice work jevad.

i want to see them keep resizing, it's mezmerizing...so i keep clicking...
btw nic, i'm just messing with ya, you little NT addict! =)
keep on keeping on!

"i want to see them keep resizing, it's mezmerizing...so i keep clicking.."
heh
I think I need to stop listening to teh cure so much...my ability to tell a pisstake is getting weak these days!

I don't mind the pop-ups b/c I don't have to click the little x to close them. I like being able to click anywhere in the image. The effort it takes to open more than one window at a time is the same as it takes to close and open the next. I don't see why you would have 15 open windows.
