Wondering who has done work on one-off t-shirts for yourselves ahd what you have used that is NOT screenprints.
What about cut out stencils, masking off areas and using t-shirt ink? How to apply the ink? While I was in San Francisco two weeks ago I saw so many super cool (but expensive) abstract art shirts and figured there's got to be a semi-easy way to make some.

-transparent adhesive x-act cut mask
-apply the adhesive on tee,
-proper t-shirt opaque ink,
-rough brush,
-then apply over the adhesive mask with strong movements, like hammering with untill filling the whole masked area (stencil).it must be a proper brush for this. (straight and plan inferior edge - hammer type-shaped) you'll find these brushes on dedicated art-stores, as well as the ink)

make your stencil out of a flexible material, I like cereal boxes. after you cut it out, use spray adhesive on the back of the cardboard and then apply to shirt. Mask off anything outside of the stencil (that you dont want sprayed) and hit it with some spray paint. You may want to put some newspaper inside the shirt in case you overdo it and it bleeds.

my friend and i got a stencil cutter that's similar to a soldering iron. it cuts through thick plastic like butter and is great for ultra curvy designs. we got it for "free" from michael's and i suggest checkin it out.

blackspade: imo screenprinting is the best, buy a silkscreen and cut stencils and use fabric paint, Donno what its called but you can expose acetates using lights and a special 'gel' to make your silkscreen fixed with that print... when it comes to stencil cutting i recommend printing on acetates and then use a paperclip and a lighter (if you don't have a glowing pen, donno the real name for that either :-)

oh, what connorrhea sais sounds like the thing i didn't know what to call :-)

oh yeah von suck. shame that kenneth king-of-pinstriping howard's name is being dragged thru the mud as in he has nothing to do with "fashion" at all. must be his kids needing some cash or something.

white spray paint does not show up on black tshirts. It just sinks straight in. If you do a few coats you can sorta see it but it looks shite!
