mcdonalds doesn't hold a candle to jack in the box. JITB has a sandwich that contains over 2000 calories. that's more than some people need in an entire day. i suppose they just catch more flack because they've been around longer and they're international. i haven't been to a mcdonalds for about 1 a year now, but i do remember them having a healthier menu. sure you can get a custom order to ensure an instant heart attack, but you could do the same thing at the grocery store.
