HAHA! I think you're funny illdesign... well, that is if you were referring to me as "other guy".
Let's see, what is funny to me?... Besides Dave Chappelle (whoI'm afraid to follow anymore for fear that he will become un-funny thanks to media hype... i.e.: Eddie Murphy, Kings of Comedy, Chris Rock, Tub Girl), everything else that I like is basically cartoon-like. Crank Yankers, The Simpsons, Wulfmorgenthaler... now that this topic has come up, I don't really think that "people" as themselves are funny... Man, I'm out of touch with reality, and I love it.

I showed the first season ep 1 of The Chapelle Show to my parents last night, who have never seen it.
During the Clayton Bigsby Black White Supremecist sketch I thought they were going to faint, and I'm not sure from hilarity or shock.

Seriously, what is it that makes Chappelle so funny? Is it that it is so blatantly stereotypical that it makes stereotypes seem funny? I love it. I like his laid back, I dont give a fuck attitude, it makes it all work.

Conan should stay in NYC. Hollywood is rich enough to fly their stars to the big apple. I hate LA with a passion, everything there seems so fake. San Francisco is one of the only West Coast cities I'd consider living in.
Anyway, regardless, I think Conan will be funny even with the 'commercialization.' Even though his humor right now is targeted towards the younger crowd, he has the ability to write/perform for the older generations. He was a writer when the Simpsons and SNL was great...

I haven't watched Conan in at least 3 years, but he wasn't funny then. That's why I don't watch him now. Maybe he's funny now. Triumph the Insult Comic Dog is hilarious; he's on that show now?

Speaking of fake, I live in Vegas and I'm not a big LA fan either, and to make things worse everyone out here is from LA, acts like they're from LA, or drives down to LA every other week. But come on, in addition to weird ass San Fran, San Diego is fantastic. And what about the NW? I've never been to Portland, but I like the Seattle area(s). Maybe Conan should just do his show from Oklahoma or somewhere else where a rapper hasn't been shot.
