Finally I have a new place to live -again.
Nice two bed flat for £800pm, 5 seconds to the pub, 10 seconds to the Curry House, 15 seconds to the bottle shop, and 20 seconds to the station.
Marvelous.
And the Landlords (a couple with kids) seem cool, sane and resonable.
Let's see if I can stay there for longer than 6 months...

Hey Kuz... brave move. I work in Docklands (South Quay), can't say I'd live here though. Too sterile...
The only thing we compromised on with this flat is the size. It's medium I'd say... the kitchen is small. But it's me and my girl, so we have the spare bedroom to run away from each other and for me to have my studio... Gipsy Hill seems nice too. Loads of pubs and bars...

I need to explore it a bit, and Dulwich is just down the road which is cool.

Not taking the piss but I was under the impression Gypsy Hill was abit lively (rough!)
Me and my girlfriend are looking to buy at the moment and have been looking at Wimbledon, Southfields, Wandsworth Earlsfield etc...
You cant even get a BJ for £200,000
Where can you recommend?
Am not a north London boy - its scares me - mind you... so does Saint Reatham!!
Cheers

If £200,000 is your budget, you could move away from London!
Dunno mate... there are places for 150,000 + but you're looking at places like Thamesmead / Woolwich. The whole area is being developed for the Olympic bid and the DLR is being extended there.
The market is not in your favour right now anyway... don't do it.

============================oh my god! i've never paid more than £50.

When you say move away from London what do you mean??
This will sound arsey but it isnt - why would I want to move from London??
I think I have read it wrong!!
- ********0
Because if you move away from London with £200,000 you'll get a nice lovely house somewhere with about 4 bedrooms in it. Stay in London you'll get buggar-all - a shitty 1 bed flat above a shop...

Nice! Moved in over the weekend. We're bang next-door to Crystal Palace, and about 15 pubs and bars.
Can't wait to try them all tonight.
See you Wednesday!
