a great movie. a great story.
Gael García Bernal is an amazing actor, my favourite right now ["E Tu Maman Tambien", "Amores Perros", "La Mala educación"].
I have the first edition of Guevara's "Pasajes de la Guerra Revolucionaria" and there's a moving recollection of his early days.

omg
u guys serious? That film was TERRIBLE. (IMO). Absolute, oversentimental, cheese-fest. The worst £7 i spent at a cinema. There's only so much sentimentality i could handle before vomiting, i came close. Yikes, and that Garcia, unfit - we saw the same movie? I thought he was dreadful (IMO). Dull pretty boy riding around on his bike, he brought nothing to the character. The only good thing about it was the fat dude, the pharmacist - he put in a fiiine performance. The rest of the movie was absolute pants. Corny as hell offereing me NO insight into anything. Not that i'm even interested in the dullest episode in the life of a macho poster boy (Che Guevara) who had absolutely NOTHING to say on anything. Oh there is so much injustice! It is so sad!
puh-leeeeeze
(IMO)
[I'm pissed off cos I wanted to watch this Japanese play, but when we got there it was sold out, so we ended up watching this wank]

Dutchboy u are mad. The photography was shit. I was most dissapointed about that. I went in thinking, they got full reign of one of the most impressive continents on earth, amazing cities, ancient ruins, and a magnificent natural environment - the photography should blow me away. But fuck that. It was bland and two dimensional and fuckin uninspiring. Even when they were at the Inca ruins, i was like - come on, you cud photograph this better. And the mountains. Yeesh. Instead they opted for this stupid handy cam bull shit approach. Excuse me film directors - can we not use this unecessary hand cam crap. It doesn't make your films looks cool and edgy and realistic. Just spend the time and effort, stay still and PHOTOGRAPH THAT SHIT! Maybe hire a cinematographer? hmm??
pah!

Saw it on Saturday. It was really good, beatiful cinematography and it was a story I never knew really.
Never really got to know the Che thing because, perhaps unfortunatly, the Che shirts, etc. have always been so trendy and probably worn by people who did it only for that reason.
The soundtrack was great, maybe going to pick it up on CD.
