TiBook won't burn cd's

it still plays dvd's fine,
plays the odd pre-recorded cd, but when i try to burn mp3's or any other music it keeps spitting the cd-r's out.
i have tried about 10 differen cd-r's as well as it seemed to only take the maxell ones for awhile, but now it's useless.any help tips would be appreciated. the machine is fairly new.

Hey Aveeno...did you happen to run that hack that increases the burn speed of DVD's? I heard that can make some of the drives in Powerbooks wonky.
