Where to go from here?

(This is a rant on my career) So, I've been working on my own for about 3 years now. Mainly doing web work, some print here and there. Feel very bored, uninspired the past several months. Not sure how I want to grow my business, and what would be the ideal role for me (sales, art direction, etc). I obviously need a change, but don't even know where to start! All my life I've known I wanted to be a graphic designer, and basically could see my career path. But now I'm at a Y in the road, and don't know which way to go. Should I tried to expand my business? Is that what I even want? Even if I did get more work and grew, would that satisfy me? Just running a business, I love it, I find it fun. Although, I'm not really into dealing with clients so much. Basically, I need to figure out what I really want to do, but not even sure where to start... basically, just wondering if any of you creatives have ever been in a slump like this, and how did you get out of it.

Take a vacation for a little while, and upon your return - bump this thread back up and see if you feel the same way.
People forget how important some time off is.

hmm.. i know how you feel... just liek you said i think you have to figure out where you want to go... is it possible for you to take soem time off and see if maybe rather than expanding the business you can explore other types of business youd be interested in?
