We are kind of used to them around here since we get pounded every year around this time. Of course this is a big one.
Our boat is at South Shore Harbour in NO so we just battened down the hatches, tied her up really good, and checked the insurance policy.

The Interstates and Highways have been like that since yesterday when Ivan took an unexpected left.
How does anyone expect a hurricane to go either way?

Now I feel bad for NOLA! With 12 feet of water it means 2 weeks less debauchery and it's probably gonna smell worse. If I was in that area I would try to cop a ride out on the Cash Money Yacht or roll out on some 24'z or somethin.
No boy puttin his thumb in a dike is gonna help that out.
*thinks of 20 more stupid ways to make that joke even worse

nice. i guess it's better to be safe, than sorry...
...except when it comes to terrorist warnings. that is just plain ol' fear mongering.

almost all of my friends evacuated and spent 9 to 10 hours in traffic to get 100 miles out of the city. suckas!
i stayed at my friends' 3 story brick building uptown and we had the best rooftop party ever. when i woke up the sun was shining. (but my head hurt and i couldn't find my pants) ahhhhhahahahahah
