  Can someone please help me...I dont have a clue how to do it.

  I am going to make a movie player in flash. there will be a 'play' button offcourse, a rewind, pause, and close caption...also it should know if the visitor have broadband or not....the thing is I have no clue on how to do it..anyonw knows what directrions I shoulg go or any good resources for this.

  if your not familiar with advanced AS and want to do your own media player [wich is advisable] you could use a macromedia component and 'skin' it.
