Well then... I watched it.
It is a very slow film, and I can easily see people just giving up on it. It really is worth seeing through, as the last scene really pulls it together.That said - I think this film will work better on the second viewing when you really know what's "going on" in the characters' mind. It would be easy to consider it plotless without sitting it out - but in retrospect, it makes perfect sense.
It's an incredibly sad film, and I think if you have ever suffered losing a loved one, though either death or estrangement... this will touch a nerve. I found myself relating this film to Gaspar Noé's "Irreversible"..... It left me with the same feeling.. and not a nice one at that.
Oh yeah. The blowjob. Don't even bother seeking it out. It's about as erotic as Irreversible's rape scene. Required? Absolutely...
I liked this film a lot.. I didn't love it, but I think with further viewings it will only grow....
