Ok mac users. What do you do?
I shut down but I've been told recently that it's better to put a mac to sleep. hmm...

i put my baby to sleep usually, but about two nights a week i shut her down.
on a side note, i just spilled coffee on my white shirt! Argh!

my powerbook sleeps most of the time unless i know i won't be using it for a number of days.
it only uses minimal battery power and comes back in seconds which is great for me.

shut down, because of security fears, probably unfounded

SLEEP. If i have a really bad DAY turn OFF the god dam computer and walk away.
Have strong fillings of throwing the thing out of the windows sometimes.

There's no really good reason to shut down my Mac during the week. Maybe once every couple of weeks or once a month I like to shut it down to take 'er easy on the hydro bill. So normally I just put it to sleep.

sleep
I dont even touch it... It's busy at night doing a bunch of Retrospect backups anyway.
...and shutting down means waiting 20minutes for GoLive to reload our huuuge site file too.
