  Is there any way to get iTunes to play mixes without pausing/fading between every track? Its so irritating...

  I think you set a short (or zero) cross-fade in the Preferences > Audio

  When you import use Advanced>Join CD Tracks.

  This will give you a single mp3 for the album but with no titles or trackmarkers.
