take a look at this site:
i have a client that has linked me up to that and told me that they need a CMS setup that can do inventory like that site and have a search function as well. Do you guys reccomend anything out there that can do just that? i would need something that is flexible as far as layout and stuff goes because they have an existing site and would want to implement the same kinda of layout/theme on the new site.
thanks in advance.

Obvilously, the scope and functionality should guide your decision, but it also depends on how geeky you are.
If geeky:

Attention to design at least shows they are thinking about usability which should be good.
If not geeky: http://www.macromedia.com/softwa…
Also, from experience I would suggest not allowing the client to "manage" any layout or design. Restrict their abilities to adding or editing content and handle the presentation layer yourself. If not, they will break the site in a second and blame it on you.
