i can only say,
stand above it, and certainly stand above the influence of your social environment if this means you have to use it as well.
i am more and more taking my distance of it, and also the friends that use nasty stuff, and i do not regret it at all.
if they want to screw their lives at all cost, they may do so, but without me.

just had my rental car broken into when I was in Hawaii. I guess they have a really bad meth problem. The cop said that they figure 90% of all crime there is from kids who are hooked on meth and need to steal to buy it.
Its a very sad drug. Its too bad that life becomes so hard to deal with that some find their only comfort through drugs.

thanks everybody for being cool. i feel so torn because it's my ex-girlfriend and she risked alot by admitting it to me and asking for help, but from my past experiences, no matter how hard they try, in the end they're all liars and schemers and i can't get emotionally involved again...
i just know that when a tweaker feels betrayed, they feel like everybody is against them, and the overanalysis and paranoia gets to be overwhelming...
yes, i agree, why can't sticky chronic and the pursuit of beauty and art be enough?

i know EXACTLY what you mean. i've had friends that went crazy thinking the world was against them. which makes the drug problem even worse cause that's what they turn to now.

drugs aren't all about not being able to deal with life. when you're young, you want to get f**ked up. i did meth for the first time when i was about 16. along with plenty of weed, acid, opium, other less known legal "drugs" that are deadlier than any legal drug, plenty of alcohol, tried heroin once but not enough to do anything to me... the point i'm trying to make is it's not about not being able to deal with life. you wanna get loaded. the same reason a lot of people go clubs there days and get drunk. they wanna get loaded... i quit everything, but my brother never did. he's addicted to meth now and also GHB. a friend of his just died from GHB, but he's "smarter than those other people"... yeah right.

good point abstrakt. but some people don't know when to say when and the next thing they know - they're hooked. they then need the drugs to make it by.
everyone is different though and has they're own story.
