will 120 dpi really look bad compared to 300 dpi printed out on glossy quality?

Generally yes, but it would depend on certain variables such as image size and what it's going to be used for. But 300 is better.

depends if you are talking about the printers resolution, or the 'dpi' of the image you are printing.
And of course we all know digital images don't actually HAVE a dpi, don't we? ;)

also depends on the printer your using. that's why i just loathe print work sometimes, too many factors involved.
all in all i will be decent. why 120?
