Things I find funny.
!) People who move to Cali and complain about earthquakes that ruin their homes... every year.
2) People who build/buy homes next to forests that have been on fire, or burning every year, then are "shocked" when their home goes up in flames.
3) Peeps who buy/build/own in hurricane alley and... well you know where I'm going.

there are no basements in s. florida because the water table is so high.

Well, I live in Nassau, Bahamas -- and was born here....this is the umpteenth hurricane I can remember having to sit through....but for some reason this is the scariest one.
Our tiny island is usually well sheltered by the outlying ones and hurricanes usually stay a good distance east of Nassau...this time it looks to be coming right next to us.
i'll let everyone know how the surf is tomorrow, though -- Hang 10!
