Heres the problem.
How badly were the police outnumbered? So you send in these cops and their shittin bricks as is cause they know if all hell breaks loose they'll lose. Sure they'll take a few with them but they will inevitably lose.
So when you toss in a few bad apples they want to subdue them in a hurry, if not a crowd gathers around the 'action'. Then bad things start to happen... like people who get the idea of running kicks. They all hell breaks loose. So... when you get a guy who resists arrest, like that guy, of course he's going to catch hell. If he would have just shut up and gone quitely, the peaceful protest would have continued. But no, he was an idiot (not releasing his hands, curled up in a ball, kicking and screaming) and he got the beat down. I would personally used the billy club.
But that's just me.

theres a certain irony in that at the start of the film there is a guy with a 'tv bike' and he shouts "fire the networks" then later, everyone is filming and chanting "the whole world is watching"
I wonder if when the police state arrives in full effect to implant the ID chips and remove all civil liberties, will people stand around filming and chanting also?

I can't watch the vid. my band is too narrow if you know what I mean. but I have been caught up in a few riots over the last number of years (as an observer). most recent being berlin last may. The german police amazed me of their capacity for control and crowd dispersal that doesn't involve beating the shit out of people and making hundreds of arrests. why am I telling you this, I don't know, whatever :)
