I'm thinking Steamboat Springs, CO this year. Any of ya'll been there?
That Dragon Lodge looks really fun.

50th thread on snowboarding. Snowboarded from 1989 till about 1997. Wish I had more time for it, but, sadly, don't. Best/coolest place that I've snowboarded was at Oxbow in Lesotho, Africa:

yeah to Ski or Snowboard in Africa is quite different. I've sandboarded on dunes in Namibia. Dune #7 along the coast is one of the largest dunes in the world. ;)

i'll be at a-basin and winter park, no fail. if only berthoud would re-open.
avoid any resort or end-destination type places...full of tourists, wanks and idiots and gets totally packed.
we can't seem to stop watching standard films' white balance...the next one will hopefully be as good.

well -sputnik- is shaving the Rockies, you're a happy chicken I guess? jevad you should have some fun out there this winter mate.
- jevad0
yes...but vail rocks...if you kow where to go to avoid 'the wanks'
lol
I'll be hitting up mary jane too - but not winter park....its a bit tame...
- -sputnik-0
haha "avoid the wanks". sorry, IMO vail is 99% wanks and i prefer straight up riding than avoiding.
mary jane rocks. i think i went there and a-basin more than any other place last 2 seasons. steamboat is also well worth the hike.
i hear lake louise is really stunning!
- jevad0
have you ever ridden the blue sky basin at vail? if you have and you still feel that way I'll let this go! If not - come with one weekend this winter!
- -sputnik-0
u got it!
can we hike up through beaver creek and avoid the vail lifts altogether?
jk ;)

rent a car and drive through the interior of british columbia. you will find some of the best riding in the world.

I'm left to these rundown Appalchians on the East Coast.
